Comic Boxes

Comics don't deserve to kick around the floor or be stacked on a shelf to get sunbleached or torn! That's where a comic box comes in. Any appropriately shaped sturdy box with a lid will do. It should have non-translucent walls so light doesn't get through and it should be sturdy enough that you can stack one on top of another. The shape should be such that your comics can stand upright without having excess space to rattle around in.

Most collectors of standard US size comics opt for cardboard comic boxes, either in the 'long box' or 'short / compact box' size. These boxes can safely hold over a hundred comics each, even bagged and boarded titles, and are an econimcal solution to a collector's comic storage needs.

As the popular sizes of cardboard comic boxes are light in weight and available flat-packed for self assembly, delivery on a small number need not cost too much. Although there are plenty of suppliers to choose from, a quick look online shows that it shouldn't be that difficult to find half a dozen compact boxes including delivery for under £30.
